Configurations

The transport regime defines the body.

Different cargo requires different solutions. Temperature, access frequency and load restraint affect both construction and equipment.

01

Single-temperature

One compartment for chilled or frozen transport.

  • Usable volume configured for the chassis
  • Thicknesses matched to the temperature regime
  • Hinged or roller-shutter rear doors
02

Multi-temperature

Two or more zones for products requiring different temperature regimes.

  • Fixed or movable partition walls
  • Controlled air circulation
  • Access configured for each zone
03

Hanging meat transport

Reinforced construction for suspended loads and repeated wash-down.

  • Reinforced roof and structure
  • Overhead meat rail system
  • Finishes and drainage adapted to the application

Construction

What is behind a refrigerated body.

Panels, floor, structure, closures and installations are engineered as one system. Final specifications are defined for each project.

01

Insulated panels

Side walls, roof and front wall manufactured to project dimensions, with variable thicknesses for chilled or frozen operation.

02

Floor for intensive use

The floor is protected by a one-piece Barley Grain aluminium wear layer, with no joints across the usable surface and continuously welded around its perimeter. The solution provides high wear resistance, surface continuity and easy sanitation.

03

Subframe and mountings

The subframe is manufactured from S350GD or S355 structural steel, selected according to body geometry, load and the chassis mounting solution. Structural mountings use special grade 10.9 flange bolts with GEOMET® coating for corrosion protection.

04

Doors, rear frame and sealing

The rear frame is manufactured from stainless steel. All door hardware, including hinges, rods and locking systems, is manufactured from stainless steel. Thermowelded rubber seals feature multiple sealing blades and remain continuous through the corner areas.

05

Certified interior surfaces

Interior surfaces are finished with PVC-coated steel certified for food-industry and pharmaceutical applications. Its durable, easy-to-sanitise surface supports the hygiene requirements of temperature-controlled transport.

06

Interior protection

Skirting, panel protection, drainage and load-restraint components configured for daily operation.

07

Refrigeration integration

Reinforcements and interfaces for the refrigeration unit, sensor and cable routes, and integration of controls.

08

Automotive-certified lighting

We use LED lamps for interior and exterior lighting, certified for automotive applications and selected for reliable operation on commercial vehicles.

09

Dhollandia tail-lift equipment

Bodies can be equipped with Dhollandia tail lifts in different capacities and project-specific configurations. Equipment type, capacity, platform dimensions and operating options are selected according to the chassis, cargo and loading process.

Access and equipment

Everything that changes daily operation.

Equipment is selected according to route, delivery frequency, cargo and loading operations—not added from a generic catalogue.

01

Access

  • Hinged rear doors
  • Rear roller shutter
  • Side doors positioned to order
  • Access steps and handles
02

Cargo

  • Side restraint rails
  • Telescopic bars
  • Interior protection
  • Hanging meat system
03

Handling

  • Dhollandia tail lift
  • Floor suitable for pallet trucks

Tell us the cargo, temperature and chassis.

These three details allow us to start with the correct configuration. Usable dimensions, access and equipment are then defined together.
